There were Slurls-related questions on QI (UK TV series hosted by Stephen Fry) in November 2007, referenced on Wikipedia here.

Perversely, it was a fairly adult discussion for the Children In Need charity special.

They did make the schoolboy error of thinking Pen Island was an innocent pen shop though. D'oh. :shock:
